Employee Driver Guide
Employee Drivers use Tare to receive jobs, complete work, and upload bills or ticket images.
This guide explains how Employee Drivers interact with Tare day-to-day.
Accessing Your Account
Employee Drivers must be invited by a dispatcher before they can sign in.
After receiving your invite:
- Open the SMS link sent by your dispatcher
- Download the Tare app (if not installed)
- Enter your phone number
- Enter the SMS verification code (OTP)
- Select your invite and finish onboarding
Once you're onboarded, any assigned jobs will automatically appear in your app.
Receiving Work (RFOs)
Work is assigned through RFOs (Request For Operators).
As an Employee Driver, you will:
- Receive a notification when an RFO is assigned
- See all your job details inside the app
- View customer, PO, and equipment information for the assigned jobs
Accepting or Declining an RFO
When you open an RFO, you must choose to:
- Accept the job
- Decline the job
You must accept the RFO before you can:
- Upload bills
- Complete the job
- Submit ticket images
If you decline:
- Your dispatcher is notified immediately
- The job will be reassigned
Uploading Bills (Tickets)
After accepting an RFO, you can upload all required ticket images.
You can:
- Upload multiple bill / ticket photos
- Use your camera or phone gallery
- Submit tickets at any point after acceptance
You cannot:
- Delete ticket images
- Edit submitted bills
Only the root dispatcher can remove or correct submitted tickets.
Viewing Assigned Equipment
If your dispatcher assigns equipment to you, you can view:
- MVI expiry
- Insurance expiry
- Equipment details
This ensures you know the compliance status of the unit you're using.
Equipment assignment is optional — not all drivers will have a unit assigned.
Job History
You can view previously completed RFOs, including:
- Bills submitted
- Customer and PO
- Dates and times
- Equipment details
This gives you a clean record of past work.
What Employee Drivers Cannot Do
Employee Drivers cannot:
- Create dispatches
- Create or edit customers, equipment, or PO numbers
- Subcontract jobs
- Remove or modify bills/tickets
- View other employees’ work
- Manage company settings
Your access is limited to the tasks required to complete assigned jobs.
Summary
Employee Drivers use Tare to complete work with minimal friction:
You can:
- Receive RFOs
- Accept or decline jobs
- Upload bills and ticket images
- View assigned equipment
- Review your job history
You cannot modify operational data or manage other users.
Tare keeps the driver workflow simple, focused, and fast.
