Customers & PO Management

Customers and PO numbers help organize who you’re working for and how jobs are grouped in Tare.


What Is a Customer?

A Customer is the company or contractor the work is being done for.
Every dispatch must be tied to a customer.

You can create a customer:

  • From the Customer List page
  • Directly while creating a Dispatch (using the “+” button)

Customers can be edited at any time from the customer list or their detail page.


What Is a PO?

A PO (Purchase Order) is an optional reference number used to group related dispatches for the same job or contract.

Key points:

  • A customer can have multiple POs
  • POs are selected or created during dispatch creation
  • Dispatches using the same PO can be grouped for billing and reporting

Why It Matters

Customers identify who the job is for, and POs help you organize work under that customer.
Using both makes dispatching faster, reporting cleaner, and billing easier.


Adding a Customer

Dispatchers can add customers directly within the app.

Step 1 — Navigate to the Customer Page

Open Customers → Add Customer from the main navigation.

Step 2 — Enter Customer Details

Provide:

  • Customer Name
  • Any additional relevant fields
    (Fields may depend on your workflow.)

Step 3 — Submit

Tap Save to create the customer.

The customer is now available for dispatch creation and PO assignment.


Adding a PO to a Customer

POs are added directly under a specific customer.

Step 1 — Navigate to the Customer Page

Open Customers and select the customer you want to add a PO for.

Step 2 — Click “Add Purchase Order”

This opens the Add PO form.

Step 3 — Fill in the PO Details

Provide:

  • PO Number / Reference Code

Step 4 — Submit

Tap Save to attach the PO to the customer.

You can now assign this PO when creating dispatches.
